A Grower's Recommendation is a specialized type of physician's recommendation that empowers medicinal marijuana patients and caregivers to cultivate a greater quantity of plants than the standard limit. According to California law, patients are allowed to cultivate up to 6 mature plants or 12 immature plants. The average harvest time is between 8-16 weeks from planting seeds, depending on the strain. Sativa strains typically take longer to mature than indica varieties, so plan accordingly.

Harvest when the trichomes on the plant develop a milky or amber color. You can examine trichomes using a magnifying glass or a 5x lens.
Drying the Harvest:

After cutting the plants, hang them upside down for about a week to dry and mature.
