Medical marijuana card affiliate program: earn 10% per referred order

The Dr. Weedy Brand Ambassador program pays you for sending people to a medical cannabis service you already trust. You get 10% of every medical card order placed through your link.

Bring in a medical retailer or a doctor, and you keep 5% of the orders they place for as long as they work with us. Everything you earn lands in the balance of your account.

What do you earn, and from whom?

You share one link. Who opens it decides which rate applies: a patient ordering a medical card, or a business that joins Dr. Weedy as a partner.

  • 10%

    Patients

People who want a medical marijuana card. They book an online evaluation with a doctor licensed in their state.

Of each medical card order, placed within 30 days of their first click on your link.

    What your referrals get
  • 5%

    Medical retailers

Licensed medical cannabis stores you know. We help their customers become registered patients under state rules.

Lifetime share of the orders they place with Dr. Weedy.

They sign up through the retail partner program, using your link.

  • 5%

    Doctors

Physicians with a state license who could run online evaluations for patients on our platform.

Lifetime share of the orders they place with Dr. Weedy.

They sign up through the program for doctors, using your link.

The two rates do not compete with each other. A patient's card order earns you 10%. A retailer or a doctor you brought in earns you 5% of the orders they place, for as long as they work with Dr. Weedy, on top of whatever your patient referrals bring. All of it lands in one balance, and you can see every credit there.

Who does the program fit?

  • Writers and creators who cover medical cannabis, wellness or patient rights in a blog, a newsletter, a podcast or a social channel.
  • People who run or moderate patient communities, support groups and forums, where members keep asking how to get a medical card.
  • Patients who went through an evaluation with Dr. Weedy and get asked by friends and family how they got their card.
  • People who know licensed medical retailers or physicians and can introduce them to Dr. Weedy.

There are no tiers by audience size. The rates are the same for the first order you refer and for every order after it, so a single recommendation to a friend who asked counts exactly like a post to thousands of readers.

How much could your link earn? Use your own numbers

The sliders start at example numbers: set them to what you expect from your audience. The panel applies the program rates: 10% of patient card orders and 5% of orders from the businesses you brought in.

Count orders placed within 30 days of the person's first click on your link. How a referral is counted. The slider stops at 100 only to keep the example short.

How do you join? Three steps

You do not need to buy a medical card yourself. The medical part stays with us: the evaluation with a licensed physician, the paperwork your state asks for, and support for the patient afterward. Your part is sharing the link.

  1. Step 1

    Create a patient account

Sign up as a patient with your email. No purchase is needed: an account with zero orders is enough to join the program. If you already have an account from your own evaluation, skip this step.

    Create an account
  2. Step 2

    Copy your referral link

Your link lives in your account. It is universal: patients, retailers and doctors all register through the same one. Put it where your audience already reads you: a bio, a newsletter footer, a pinned post, or a reply to someone who asked.

    Log in to your account
  3. Step 3

    Get credited for orders

When someone orders through your link within 30 days of their first click, the commission is added to your balance. You can follow every credit in your balance history.

    Open your balance

What happens to the person who clicks your link?

They fill in a short application, which takes about five minutes, and book an appointment with a physician licensed in their state. The appointment itself takes about fifteen minutes, and its time is agreed with the doctor. The doctor decides whether a medical card recommendation is right for them. You do not have to explain any of this yourself: the medical card pages and our support team walk them through it.

How is a referral counted?

Your referral link is one for everyone. A patient, a store owner and a doctor can all sign up through it, and the system knows the order came from you.

From the first time someone opens your link, they stay tied to you for 30 days. An order inside that window is credited to your balance. If they come back after 30 days from another source, such as a search or an ad, that order is not counted as yours.

Three examples make the rule concrete:

  • Someone opens your link on day 0 and orders on day 12. The order is yours, and 10% of it goes to your balance.
  • Someone opens your link on day 0, forgets about it, and comes back on day 29 by typing the site address. They are still inside the window, so the order is credited to you.
  • Someone opens your link on day 0 and returns on day 45 from a search result. The window closed on day 30, so that order is not counted as yours.

That is why timing matters: a link shared at the moment someone is deciding, for example in an answer to a direct question, works better than one buried in an old post.

What can you do with your balance?

Commissions collect in one place, the balance in your Dr. Weedy account. You decide when and how to use them.

Withdraw any time

Take the money out of your balance at any moment. You do not have to wait for a monthly payout date: the balance is yours to move when you choose.

Open your balance

Pay for your own card renewal

If you are a patient yourself, use the balance to pay for renewing your medical card instead of paying by card. State programs ask patients to renew on a schedule, so your commissions can cover a cost you would have anyway.

Go to your account

Your balance does not expire

Money on your balance stays there until you use it. A quiet month or a long break does not reset anything, and a credit from a referral made today is still there a year from now.

What should you say when you share your link?

Tell people that you earn a commission when they order through your link. The FTC expects anyone who recommends a product for pay to disclose that connection clearly [1]. Leave medical decisions to the doctor: whether a person qualifies is decided by a physician licensed in their state, after an evaluation. Do not promise approval or a treatment result.

Where should the disclosure go?

  • Next to the link, in the same post, caption or message, so nobody has to tap "more" to find it.
  • In plain words, such as "I earn a commission if you order through this link". A lone hashtag at the end of a long caption is easy to miss.
  • In podcasts, streams and other spoken content, said out loud, not only written in the description.
  • Every time you share the link, not once in a profile that most people never open.

Would you post this? Pick a line.

"I earn a commission on this link": fine to post

This is the disclosure your followers are owed. Put it next to the link itself, in plain words, not in a hashtag at the end.

"A licensed doctor in your state decides": fine to post

It describes how the service works. The evaluation is one on one with a physician who holds a license in the patient's state.

"Everyone gets approved": rewrite this

The physician makes a clinical decision for each person. Try: "A doctor reviews your health history and decides if a card is right for you."

"It will fix your sleep": rewrite this

That is a promise about a treatment result, and nobody can make it. Try: "Ask the doctor whether medical cannabis could help with your symptoms."

"Ask me anything about doses": rewrite this

Dosing is a conversation with the physician during the evaluation. Point people to the doctor and to the patient FAQ instead.

Who takes care of the people you refer?

When you recommend a medical service, your name goes with it. Here is what happens to the person after they click your link.

  • A physician licensed in their state

Every evaluation is done by a doctor who holds a license in the patient's state. The recommendation is that doctor's clinical decision. Meet our doctors

  • An evaluation online, from home

The application takes about five minutes and the appointment about fifteen. Nobody has to drive to a clinic. The time of the appointment is agreed with the doctor.

  • Paperwork by the state program's rules

Each state runs its own medical program. We follow its requirements and help with renewal when the card runs out. About Dr. Weedy

This matters for you as much as for them. A person who had a clear, respectful experience after your recommendation comes back to your next one, and one who felt pushed does not. That is why the medical part is never yours to carry: you make the introduction, and a licensed physician and our support team take it from there.

  • Since 2017doing only this: online evaluations for medical cannabis programs, and nothing else on the side

Which states can your referrals use?

Your link works in the states we serve, and the list below updates itself as programs change. For the rules of each state, see state cannabis laws.

Questions affiliates ask

Do I need to buy a medical card to join?

No. You need a patient account, and it can have zero orders in it. Create an account, then copy your referral link from it.

How much do I earn per order?

You get 10% of each medical card order placed through your link. The amount in dollars depends on what the person bought, because prices differ by state and package. Put your own numbers into the calculator above to see the math.

Can retailers and doctors use the same link?

Yes. The link is universal. When a medical retailer or a doctor joins through it, you get a lifetime 5% of the orders they place. They sign up through the retail partner program or the program for doctors, and your link is what ties their account to you. All partner programs are listed in one place.

How long is a referral tied to me?

For 30 days from the first time the person opens your link. If they return after that from another source, the order is not registered as your referral. Check a referral by days.

How do I get my money out?

Withdraw it from your balance at any moment, or use it to pay for your own card renewal in your account.

Does my balance expire?

No. The money stays on your balance until you withdraw it or spend it on a renewal.

Who can I refer with my link?

Anyone interested in a medical marijuana card in the states we serve, plus licensed medical retailers and physicians who want to work with Dr. Weedy. Patients bring you 10% of their card orders; retailers and doctors bring you a lifetime 5% of the orders they place. See which states we serve.

Where can I see my referrals and credits?

In your account. Your balance history shows each commission as it is credited, so you can match it to the people you shared the link with.

Do I need a large audience to join?

No. There are no tiers by audience size: the rates are the same for the first order you refer and for every order after it. A recommendation to one friend who asked counts the same way as a post.

What will the people I refer go through?

A short online application of about five minutes, then an appointment of about fifteen minutes with a physician licensed in their state. The time is agreed with the doctor, and the doctor decides whether a recommendation is right for them. See what your referrals get.

Should I answer medical questions from the people I refer?

No, and you do not need to. Questions about conditions, products and doses belong with the physician during the evaluation. Point people to the Patient FAQ or to the doctor.

  • Retail partners
  • Doctors

Do you run a medical retail business or a practice?

Dr. Weedy has separate programs for licensed medical retailers and for physicians, with their own terms. If you only know such a business, the path is simple: share your link with them, they sign up through it, and you receive a lifetime 5% of the orders they place. If you own the business yourself, start from the partner section, which explains each program.
