Dr. Leila Petok is a psychiatric clinical pharmacist with a scope of practice in Texas. She treats patients with anxiety, depression, PTSD, insomnia, and substance use disorders by prescribing medications under a collaborative practice agreement with a physician.
Her career in mental health began with obtaining a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. She then went on to complete her Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Houston and completed 2 additional years of post-doctoral residency training. She is knowledgeable in the niches of mental health disorders, substance abuse, sleep medicine, general wellness, fitness, and pain management. Her interest in cannabis began with the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill and subsequent legalization of cannabidiol. She has closely followed both regulatory and clinical updates on cannabis ever since.
In her spare time, Dr. Petok enjoys weightlifting, running, spending time with her partner and family, walking/hiking with her 4 dogs (and however many foster dogs she has as well), reading, writing, and watching The Office.
